Scarlett listened and couldn't help but find Dario's tone with Luke to be condescending, but she knew how he loathed people -- especially someone with ties to the werewolves. It must have taken the prince a great deal of will to keep himself from killing Luke on the spot.
The redhead took a business card from the pocket of her jacket and placed it on the desktop, before sliding it over to Dario. "I assume I have the blessing of the Midnight Society to continue my investigation?"

¡°Good enough,¡± Luke said. ¡°I¡¯ll see my way out.¡± He exaggerated a bow, turned in place, ¡°A pleasure,¡± he added to Scarlett. He glanced over his shoulder at Kitty and winked.? With deliberate calm he exited the room. To one of the guards posted outside he handed his business card.

Prince Dario sent out a telepathic communication to the guards at the door who quickly stepped in front of Luke while taking the business card from the man.? ¡°I do not believe that I have dismissed you yet, Mr. Reardon.? Please return to your seat,¡± the prince said as calmly as possible.
Then to Scarlett as he took her business card, ¡°of course.? As I know that you will be able to learn more than most of us in this room.? Kitty,¡± he said as he held up the card.
Kitty wasn¡¯t impressed with the water mage, he was too high strung and too much of a hot head, so when he winked at her she didn¡¯t hide her eye roll.? She then stepped forward to take the card from the Prince and collected the one from the guard.? She went to the Prince¡¯s side cabinet and placed them in the appropriate places.
¡°Now, we know that these people have a headquarters here in our town.? How many are there? You said at least one or two are vampires?? Any of them werewolves?? And you don¡¯t believe that any of the ones here are the leader,¡± the prince paused before adding, ¡°and one that is some other type of creature, or you say isn¡¯t anything that you have known before, was it in human form?¡±
