was reminded why she disliked so many of her own kind...they
were arrogant, condescending and often downright rude. She did
not miss Dario and his vampire purist mentality. She
remembered at the time of her exile, he had been in favor of
worse punishment for her murder of Dimitri Wolfsram. Torture,
imprisonment, even execution would have satisfied him more.

decided to answer, "Through my private investigation company I
have been hired by the parents of a young man who was
butchered, for lack of a better word, in what appears to be an
organized crime hit. Through the course of my investigation,
it has become apparent there is a new syndicate attempting to
seize power in the Raconteur area. Humans, I thought at first,
and their petty squabbles. But it appears there are vampires
involved and a creature I have yet to identify that has killed
at least two young men who were employed by the Yakuza and the
Jamaicans. That is all I know at this moment..." she paused a
moment, then added, "your highness."

Luke considered Scarlett¡¯s words with alarm. A team of Vampires in Raconteur were behind the murder of Charlie and Billy? Sudden worries for his friends in town put a dark frown on his rugged, tanned face.?

A quick call to the DEA and the FBI seemed prudent. His friends in the Were community needed to be informed immediately.?
