From Stavely in the north, to Bardsey and Leeds in the south, from Harrogate and Beckwithshaw in the west, to Cowthorpe in the east, roughly centered on Pannal. I have my line of BENTLEYs back to 1775 in Pannal, though there appear to be 3 or 4 lines of BENTLEYs in the PANNAL area from the late 16thC. One of those BENTLEY descendants occupied Pannal Hall and were Lay Rectors of St.Roberts church in Pannal. My web site of the History of Pannal, at "" has been resurrected and layout and pictures cleaned up - but beware that Header and Footer advertisements inserted by Ancestry are invalid HTML and break the display when viewed with Chrome. Firefox and MS-Edge are more forgiving and do display my pages correctly.
