Hi Maureen, I noticed a couple of trees on ancestry have him dying-one in 1793, and one in 1933. Neither have records, and there is no death on GRO site for 1933 or a few years each way. There are a couple of burials in ancestry, one in? Sowerby in 1827, and another in 1820 at Southowram, both about the right age. There are other similar deaths, too.? ?After completing a search just under deaths for Joseph, I found that there?are quite a number of? people of similar age around Leeds. Barry
Hi Listers,
I am looking for two FARRERs in my tree.
lst one William FARRER b.1758 in Horsforth parents Henry FARRER and Sussanah. The last I have of him is paying Land Tax in 1818.
His father died in 1800 and wrote his will in 1795 and Wiliam was mentioned in this will. His mother died in 1818 but had no will.
His uncle (mother’s brother) died in 1826 and he wasnt mentioned in that will and his younger brother Benjamin got Fagley estate
from his uncle in the 1826 will. So I assume he died between 1818 and 1826.
2nd. Joseph FARRER b. 1764 in Bradford from the same family. Again mentioned in his father Henry’s will but nothing else. Not mentioned in
his uncle’s will. I have found a Joseph FARRER death Bradford Cathedral in 1803 saying he was a comber.
I know that you often come across AR and not ER but it my searching our lot are usually ER.
