I'm Larry Broun and I live in Washington DC. Like you, I've participated in Workers Circle activities and their programs involving Yiddish culture and social justice.?
In recent years, much of the Workers Circle activity has been online or, when in-person, located in New York, so I'm reaching out to determine if you have an interest to meet locally in the District-Maryland-Virginia area in support of Workers Circle activism. To explore the possibilities, I hope you'll join me for an online "meet and greet" conversation with Workers Circle members and friends in the DC-area on Thursday, July 29 at 7 PM ET.?
Whether your interest is to meet socially with like-minded friends, to support Workers Circle social justice activities here in the Nation's Capital, or provide opportunities to share Yiddish culture, we'd like to get to know you and hear from you. We'll be joined by Noelle Damico, Director of Social Justice, to learn about upcoming opportunities to take action together.
With our nation's continuing struggle to strengthen our democracy amid attacks on voting rights, the urgency of passing a federal $15 minimum wage, and the moral necessity of protecting immigrants, there couldn't be a better time for us to gather.?
I hope you'll join us on July 29 from 7-8 PM ET.??so we know you're coming and feel free to extend this invitation to others who seek to share our cultural and social values.?
