Join us for this six-week introductory-level Yiddish class. After agreeing on a Jewish holiday to focus on, students will learn simple vocabulary, short phrases and conversations about shopping for traditional foods, sharing recipes, deciding which relatives to invite and, finally, master the perfect short phrases to say while eating.
Born in a displaced person’s camp in Landsberg, Germany,?Naomi Miller?came to America with her parents as a toddler. A retired speech pathologist with a specialty in developing language skills, she is also an actress who performed with the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene. She has taught Yiddish for the United Federation of Teachers, Rutgers University Continuing Education, the JCC of Middlesex County, the Monroe Township Senior Center and the Encore Community in New Jersey.
