Locked Re: Harris's Sparrow

Hi, All:

For landmarks re: Harris's Sparrow, you'll walk past a few ponds, there was a very conspicuous porcupine in a tall cottonwood on the left (may still be there), and then ~100 yards beyond that, you'll see a few short (3-foot) logs on the right of the trail and what appeared to be a short (3-foot), decomposing section of a retaining wall log on the left. The sparrow was foraging on the left by that log and even perched momentarily on the log. The sound of it scratching among the dried leaves was clearly audible. Good luck!? ?...? ?Mark

Mark & Micah Riegner found a HARRIS'S SPARROW along the trail that goes east along Willow Creek?from the old quarry/dog park trailhead.? Coordinates are : 34.60254, -112.44415.? Apparently, this bird was quite approachable.?

Happy Thanksgiving!?
