A fairly quick stop late this afternoon turned up one lone Cattle Egret in breeding plumage in the reddish grasses on your left as you walk toward the lake and a nice displaying male Bronzed Cowbird in that lone little cottonwood, close to the water, that's half bare and half green.? No shorebirds.?
