Seeing lots of empids in the Verde Valley this Spring - like an irruption of Gray, Hammond's and Dusky.? I had 8 today on a field trip and Chip Norton had as many.? Yesterday, I had a good number at Oak Creek Estates. ?
Sighting of what appeared to be a light-form juvy Broad-winged Hawk over lagoon 3 at DHSP.? Also had a light-adult soaring over Willowbrook.? These, in addition to the one photographed at Wet Beaver Creek make it a nice flow of this buteo through the area.
