At about 11 am I stepped outside and was accosted by the alarm squawks of 4 Stellar's Jay's.? They were high in a large Ponderosa and looking down.? I walked to an area where I could view the tree, and quickly saw the object of the Jays' ire--an adult Northern Goshawk!? ? It hung around several minutes before flying southeast, perhaps not far, but beyond my view.? It seemingly flew when it saw a camera, so no photos with it.? I have a couple of cellphone photos which are marginal at best.? Here is the better of the two.?
