Doug,

That¡¯s a pretty straight boiler. Some NYC modelers have used the Mantua Mikado¡¯s for NYC¡¯s near straight boilered Mikes.

From there it becomes a matter of how detailed you want it. For me the cylinders look heftier than Mantua¡¯s and the H5¡¯s have baker valve gear. The sand box would have to changed or much modified. I¡¯m not sure about the steam dome as I don¡¯t a Mantua handy right now.

From there it¡¯s a matter of how much of the piping and appliances you want to put on it.

Oh yes, that tender¡.

There are some shots of 954 on the Fallen Flags site.

I will be working on H5 954 - H6 663 and another scratch rider/head end car this Winter ? I met up with 954 on the interchange track downtown Lorain . The 663 on the main w/b next to Thew Shovel , both locations in Hirsimaki's book !

?Has anyone ever published the signal aspects for the NKP ??? ?Henry?
