You have done a fine job on your 2-6-0, and yes she would look even better with full valve gear. I have done several of these with east coast tenders and can motors but no DCC yet. Too bad the old MDC locos are no longer available except on eBay. I used gears on mine from NWSL for smoother running. The newer offerings from Athearn and Bachmann are lacking something in my opinion and un-affordable on my retirement income.
