yamaha qy300 memory full
I really don’t know for certain since I am not an electrical engineer, but I would think that increasing the memory size would be somewhat difficult on a QY300…. Or any QY device… The reason being is often the amount of memory is not just what’s available, but how it’s encoded in the program itself… There may be internal checks to make sure that the amount of memory does not go over 256K, regardless of how much actual memory is physically available… The only way to know for sure is if you could reverse engineer the entire firmware, which I think is pretty much impossible without a lot of help from Yamaha. ?There are certainly many other devices where the firmware is open source or someone available based on the chip… But I don’t think Yamaha falls into the category. ?

I regularly have this issue even without large SMF files.? On the QY 100 you can use Smartmedia card and load direct. Alternatively if you have SMF with a large amount of data and notes, you could extract repeated phrases (see job menu) and copy into up to 8 instruments into patterns and then set up song mode to repeat those patterns in bite sized chunks. |
开云体育You just need to get a new memory chip, and afterwards, design a new motherboard, adjust any path (and controller) to access the new registers and reprogram the firmware.? On Mar 12, 2024, at 8:55?AM, neuronetv@... wrote:

thankyou yes thats exactly what I've been thinking today. 99% of all modern songs are simply repeating patterns that I could - as you say - import into the pattern memories and play the file that way. I'm confident that could drastically reduce the midi file size. it's a headache of a job but might be worth it once done.
