Re: Getting MIDI Files out of the QY70
The only thing I've not managed to get running on MX is the SoundTower Wavestation Editor. I'll try it again now I know the QY one works. I may well have done something wrong setting it up. Andy

Re: Protective cases
I haven¡¯t traveled with the QY (in fact, took it out of it¡¯s original box a few months ago), but I store it at home on this case: http://www.kaltar.org/qy100/QY100Case1.jpg

Re: Getting MIDI Files out of the QY70
Can just confirm that the QY Filer works nicely under Ubuntu 20.04 + KXStudio. Songs, patterns (i.e. "Styles" in QYspeak), plain MIDI files. this indeed holds for several pieces of "for Windows only"

Many thanks to everyone for the replies. I'd not thought at all about game console cases, or camera cases, or even lunchboxes! I think I'm going to look for a good, hard case for one of them, and a

Re: Omni Mode?
Hey Eric, Indeed, queueing a midi message will introduce a delay. midi delay using 5-pin DIN is a fact, but we often ignore how much of a delay it is! MIDI 1.0 speed: 31.25 kb/s = 3906.25

Re: Omni Mode?
Queing for some sysex or CC messages makes sense, but generally speaking if a message is late (like a note or a n lfo sweep) it will likely make the song sound worse than had it never
