Re: QY70 Performance Accompaniment

Edited

Some people may ask me how I come to be using the qy70 at this point in history.
Well I owned a qy20 since they were first released, and made great use of it for a long time.?
I once devoted the whole machine to one composition (memory constraints) and it worked fine. Gee I wonder what happened to that?
Anyway, as you can see, I was starting to run into limitations, so started to look into the tasty successors to the '20 and settled on the qy70.
I couldnt get one in Australia, so I found an agent in Japan who spoke English and knew musical electronic devices. Very smooth business.
I think I originally got Japanese manuals, but the English translations I found to be almost as inpenetrable.
Despite my advantage of being quite skilled at the qy20 interface, I was daunted by the '70 UI.?
So gradually I put the '70 down, and there she stayed for a long time.
?
Now, in building my busking kit, I'd like to add some decent beats allied with some tasteful bass accompaniement.
Seems like the perfect job for the qy70? Right? Except, I'd forgotten about the immutability problem which I'd encountered way back before.
Oh well, I'll bang my head on a few proposed solutions (SysEx track volume message, or copying styles (patterns?) to User) before considering abandoning the old QY again, and moving onto some other form of accompaniment technology.
