current QY70/100 backlight status

I've seen that the Roland PMA-5 is getting beautiful backlight screens.

Is this the same process for the QY70/100? If not, wanted to ask what is the current status for adding a backlight. No new mods around? Nothing new Eric?
We all know the QY70/100 really-really-REALLY needs it! and that Roland PMA-5 is making me jealous!
