So I'm happy to report that I've been able to bypass QY70 midi signal using an MPC1000 . Also I have control of the QY70 using the novation circuit I can sequence midi notes before I record them on the QY.
If anyone is interested in my set up and how it works
MPC1000 is the brains of my battle station
MPC1000 MIDI OUT A---->QY70
MPC1000 MIDI OUT B---->BEATSTEP PRO
BEATSTEP PRO----->QUADRA (NOVATION CIRCUIT, VOLCA KEYS, CRAVE)?
QUADRA---> CIRCUIT?
CIRCUIT---->ReMoteSL
ReMoteSL----> MPC1000 midi A IN
So now when I need control of the QY70 I set mpc1000 to midi Chan A. Now MPC has control of each drum on individual pads.?
But also the novation circuit has midi control so I sequence QY on circuit.. and also the ReMote gives key board access to QY as well as using the ReMote for manipulating? cc
When I switch to midi B I have control over the qy70 on beatstep through the novation circuit midi through... I just have to turn down the volume on the novation circuit.... I still have bugs I need to work out for example the drum on novation trigger the qy70 midi channel.. But only if I'm on midi A on MPC?
I'm actually surprised this is working, still finding bugs but I can find work around bugs or expand on this experiment. For now I'm glad I can cancel midi signals from qy as long as midi channel is not selected.... But still triggers the play button..
Another advantage is that I can record midi notes straight to the mpc before I record a phrase on the qy70.?
I hope anyone finds my rambling interesting or helpful.?
Now... How do you actually get good at using the QY70? that's my next challenge.?
Thanks for the help everyone?
