Re: New FM synth
Yep, looks/sounds nice, allows fixed frequency down to 0Hz , pitch envelope per Operator and pretty much free algorithms. Had a rather short mail conversation with the developer. Might be interesting

Re: New FM synth
hello, i was intrigued by this announcement too, as i saw a potential follower to the tg77 here. as it only has -at the moment- stereo output, i sent them an email asking for more single

Re: New FM synth
Daniel, It is quite small so you probably won't have to sell any of your other synths! :)

There’s a new FM synth, it should come to the market end of this year. Looks

Re: New in this group and question
Vindor, I'd be interested to read it too, but as I understand it, it's quite a short book - more of a booklet, or pamphlet that accompanies the set of patches on the cassette - but people tend to ask

Re: New in this group and question
Hi, Vindor, this is good address, unfortunately less and less used when I compare with traffic few years ago… That’s sad, but it can’t be revived probably. I’ve been using WX controllers

Re: MultiBank Cartridge for DX7II and DX7 MKI
Isn't there a way to load different cartridge banks via sysex? So what'd be needed is a translation from the sysex to CC information. That said, I know of no cartridge capable of 128 banks, much less

Re: MultiBank Cartridge for DX7II and DX7 MKI
I suspected as much, though I didn't know about the hardware limitations for the cartridge port. So that's sounding like a resounding no to MIDI bank change. Sent from my HAL 9000 in transit to

Re: MultiBank Cartridge for DX7II and DX7 MKI
Actually I need to amend that. I don't have time to look at the manual and schematics at the moment, but I think you could only access 128 patches ("voices") *INTERNALLY* and that would require

Re: MultiBank Cartridge for DX7II and DX7 MKI
Yes, not only would it require a firmware change for the MIDI commands, but the signals aren't present on the cartridge connector either. I totally agree that 128 patches is more than enough for

Re: MultiBank Cartrdige for DX7II and DX7 MKI
No it is not possible to access banks via MIDI. It must be selected manually.

Re: MultiBank Cartrdige for DX7II and DX7 MKI
You will be able to read patches using an ADP-1, but not save them. The ADP-1 does not have the connections required for writing to DX7 Mk1 cartridges.

Re: MultiBank Cartridge for DX7II and DX7 MKI
I suspect there'd be no need to use high density controllers for this, as a maximum of 128 banks would be more than enough. But wouldn't this require some recoding of the firmware to make it possible

Re: MultiBank Cartrdige for DX7II and DX7 MKI
Can you access the HCART's additional banks via MIDI Bank Select (MSB: control change 0, LSB: control change 32) messages from a sequencer or suchlike?

Thank You grantbt, I'll try and search a number for them.

Re: MultiBank Cartrdige for DX7II and DX7 MKI
I'm not sure , it has not been tested with ADP1 cartridge.

Re: DX-1 Service
Paul Morte Technical Services is the go-to tech for Yamaha over here. He is located in Orange, CA. Probably you would have to phone him.
