KX88 firmware
Dear Friends!
Just uploaded some files for the KX88 to the "Files" section (including schematic).
I'd like to ask if anyone managed to dump out or find the *firmware* for it?
Thank You!! Good

Re: Controller assignment in DX7 family
This is, why I love the internet. Imagine you had published a book or a printed article about it back then. There wouldn't be a chance to reach your recipients again....
Thanks Greg!!

Yamaha MSX Dot Impact Printer PN-101
Hi everyone,
I bought this printer that was part of the Yamaha MSX computer system probably in 1990 but I never had the computer system. ?The buttons on the top match the DX-7's and it is very cool.

I have the same problem. Display is garbled with Japanese characters and random blocks. Loading Rom into Ram did not change/fix anything. Battery has been replaced. There must be an additional step

Korg DS-8 and 707
Hi,
The Korg 707 and Korg DS-8.
A Korg synth from the outside, a Yamaha 4-operator FM synth inside.
I have started a new Facebook group around these two Korg synths. Currently I am the only member.

Re: DX9 - 4op elder statesman (sysex and videos)
It's (but not very high) on my TODO list to add a special --dx9 output option to make it possible to let DXconvert handle all this more or less automatically. Converting DX7 to DX9 will never be

Re: DX9 - 4op elder statesman (sysex and videos)
Hi,
I've worked out why most of the DX7 sysex won't load on the DX9.? Looking at the sysex through a hex editor I can see the name of each patch, just above that there is a string of "32,32,32,32"

Re: DX9 - 4op elder statesman (sysex and videos)
I owned a DX9 back in the '80s.? It was a fine synth in its own right, and quite a bit less costly -- something that appealed to a guy who already owned 5-6 synths. <g>? The 4-op vs 6-op structure
