Looks interesting, though by the description it is using GAs (Genetic Algorithms) which are evolutionary computer models rather than AI. We did play with the idea in the late 90s but processing was really slow. Must have a nice algo in there to take the FFT analysis and create the right spectral envelopes to emulate the instruments. I hope they make it available to play with.
