I just got a "new" TX802, and among other things decided to try tweaking patches from the front panel.
All was (sort of) going well, until I tried to save one, and of course lost my edits, first time.? So, I referred to the manual, which referred me to the page about storing voices with the Store / Compare button, rather than telling me how to do it from Voice Edit mode.
The thing is, while editing a voice, the Store / Compare becomes the Compare button - letting you listen to the previous version of the patch.? Pressing it a second time just returns you to edit mode.
Pressing Voice Select instantly trashes my edits - but at least it does it consistently.
Any clues?? It seems the manual is useless, on this point.? I'm surprised I haven't read about this before, along with comments about how relatively easy it is to edit it from the front panel.
