Sad, yes, but not all that surprising.? I started an eGroup back in
1998, before they merged with Yahoo Groups.? Yahoo closed GeoCities
in a similar move some years ago, and I've been waiting for the
'other shoe to drop' since then.? I'm actually pleasantly surprised
that Yahoo Groups avoided the axe for so long.? It's been
essentially free, so Yahoo is within their rights to cancel the
service.? Unfortunately, there isn't an exact alternative.
It has been very nice talking to all of you.? It looks like the
email forwarding is going to stay for a while, so maybe we can keep
the dialog going?
