Hmm - I thought I was posting to that Yahoo Group. I'm a little confused, but thanks for the general responses..
Could anyone clue me in a bit on how the DX7 II works, for special tunings? Each key is on a separate channel?

I believe Daniel is correct. The A/D is only 8-bit if memory serves and looking at what I can decipher from the BIN file it looks like the pitchbend value is /2 before being offset for up/down. That would make it 7-bit plus sign.? Should be easy enough to view the MIDI while playing to verify.
