I am looking for the same information. Has anyone reverse engineered the communications protocol? A web search some people have done it with ICOMs tuners.

is the same?!? The control head of the fc1000 needs just 12v and ptt and gives alc back to the rig for tuning with low power .... the frequency data is only needed if you use the memory function (presets) but for tuning it is not needed (so I also could use it with my icom rig *g*) What data is sent over the data bus from control head to tuning box??? I do not know .... but that could not be toooo difficult to find that out Dg9bfc Sigi -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- |

Well the Pinout from the FC-40 manual with a schematic shows:

1 - 13.5V (Input) 2 - TX GND (Input) 3 - GND 4 - Data In (Input) 5 - Data Out (Out) 6 - Sense (GND) 7 - Reset (Input) 8 - TX_INH (Out) The Data in Data out pins go to the Serial I/O pins of the MCU, so the data is serial, it is just a matter of what they contain. --- In YaesuTuner@..., "siegfried jackstien" <siegfried.jackstien@...> wrote:
