Kenwood KPS-15 DC switching power supply x FT-847

Dirk Esterline #211 When I first got my 847 I was using a 20 amp power supply. My radio kept shutting down unless I turned the power down. Couldn't figure out what was wrong until it dawned on me that the rig needed more power. I hadn't even bothered?to check the manual because I had used the other power?supply for years with lots of different rigs.? ? Here is what the specs on the 847 say:?Transmit: 22A @ 100W RF Output So... it may work as the KPS-15 is rated for 25 amps. 20 amps wasn't enough for mine. If it shuts off on transmit turn the power down and if things are fine it wants more power. 73 KG8JK
