Re: Couple of questions
Ian, Greg
Thank you for your responses. I don't see anything in the manual that
mentions the PTT keying on the DATA IN/OUT jack. Am I missing something?
How do I go about separating the PTT line or

Re: Couple of questions
Hi Max
Regarding using data on the FT-847 its a little bit complicated compared to
more modern transceivers. As a rule of thumb you use the Packet port for FM

Couple of questions
Hello to the group,
Just took delivery of an 847. Great radio.
I'm just in the process of getting everything hooked up, CAT, digital modes etc. I plugged my signal lines into the DATA in/out jack

Re: My FT-847 won't transmit on 80m
Hi Greg, check the Group Files section, there is a folder there - FT847 Mods - in there you will find a Yeasu datasheet on frequency mods, it extends the range of the set. i uploaded it quite a while

Re: My FT-847 won't transmit on 80m
Out of band mod? I wasn't aware that there were any such mods for
the radio (e.g. to get it to Tx on the WARC bands)...

Re: My FT-847 won't transmit on 80m
Thanks for the replies. I have not yet fully unpacked the truck from Field Day. When I do bring the radio back into the shack I'll try a full reset, try transmitting on freqs across the 80m band and

Re: My FT-847 won't transmit on 80m
Field Day really brings out the problems. I have 2 FT-847's. One belongs to the Club which I cloned to be the same as mine. For the ISS V/v frequencies, both do the same thing. Main vfo shows 145.850,
