Re: 60 Meter Transmit Mod Info Wanted
Hi there, that info was released by Yeasu quite a few years ago, there is no update now, somewhere there is a 4M pre-amp available for the 847 along with details of how to modify the bandpass filters

Re: 60 Meter Transmit Mod Info Wanted
Leighton,
yes that was the cause of the issue all of the documentation is so very old and conflicting
but I can confirm that it works well on 60M
the 40M bandpass filter covers from 5 to 7.5Mhz

Unfortunately it does not include coverage of the 5Mhz band as far as I can see.

Re: 60 Meter Transmit Mod Info Wanted
Hi there, there is a list of frequencies covered after the mod included in the info, as always a full reset is required after changing any of the links to make sure the processor picks up the new band

Re: 60 Meter Transmit Mod Info Wanted
Hi there, there is a mod sheet in the Files section from Yeasu - Band modifications for 847 frequencies - which gives the link information to broad band the 847.

Re: FT-847 on 8M
Thanks, I was aware of that. The current experimental band is 40.660 to
40.700 for US stations.
At this stage I don't even have a license to transmit on 8 meter.

Hi Tom,
just a work of warning!! There is an fundamental at 36mhz. Be very weary about transmitting anywhere near that frequency.

FT-847 on 8M
I've tried receiving 8M signals with my FT-847. So far I decoded two
stations on 40.680 Mhz using the 847 and an 80M wire.

FT-847 on 8M?
Has anyone tried using an 847 on the new experimental 8M band? I've been
monitoring 40.680 (FT8) for several days without success. Given the time
of year, this is no surprise but, I wonder, how

So what I found out is the ALC modification that I implemented to use the 847 with transverter's disabled the SAT mode function. I'm not sure why but removing the diode that was suggest by

FT-847 Won't Work in SAT Mode
Hello,
I have an 847 that won't transmit while in SAT Mode. The radio works fine
in all modes, bands and powers at half-duplex and in split mode but when in
SAT Mode, the radio won't transmit.

Re: FT-847 Transmit Problem
Yes, I agree, the power on switches are known as a fault on many radios and would cause this problem. Not that I’ve ever had one fail on me like that. But if there was a problem with that, you would
