Ah, that's much better.
So, a question:? With that bottom right connector going to the
external speaker jack, the audio input to the computer's sound card
becomes dependent on the volume setting on the front panel which is
annoying and prone to error.? I presume it also interrupts the
internal speaker, so can't simply be left in.?
Is it needed?

Hopefully this version is uncropped as I did the previous

Nice circuit, but it's slightly
cropped.? The two plugs on the right...? The top one goes to
the TRS Data I/O port; where does the lower one go, and what
is the rest of the "USE THIS F..." text?? Seems to be
important...

This is what have been using for the last
25 years with the FT-847 with various data modes in
both SSB & FM including FT-8
Credit goes to ( I think) Jim Barber
N7CXI who co-wrote W95SSTV which it was initially
designed for.
Hope it helps

I've used my FT-847 on both 6 and 2M,
no problem.? Just used the sample interface circuit
in the manual.??

MAN, you
guys are good !!!!..? Very obvious thing
overlooked. HI.? All good now.? I had schematics
out last night trying to figure out what
components could be bad.? You made my day.? Any
of you using something for FT8?? I had it
receiving FT8 through the DATA IN/OUT plug but
was trying to get transmit working.? I notice
there was a claim that the DATA IN/OUT only
worked on HF and I wanted it for 6 M. Probably
have to go into mic jack for that and PTT.? Any
units on the market that do that?? Have not
looked.? 73 Mike K4PI
