Cam, why do you want to use a transverter with the FT-847?? ?Is there something deficient?with the 2M mode of the Ft-847?? If so, seems like it would be far easier to address the problem than to go the transverter route.

You can easily change the FT847 to TX from 144 to 174 MHz, ? Also the use version goes from 144 to 148, ?

I'm trying to research the capabilities of the use of the FT-847 with a transverter, requiring the use of 10 meters. The issue may be the requirement for opening transmit to 32 MHz to get to the top of the 2 meter band. For this transverter, 28 MHz = 144 MHz, and 32 MHz = 148 MHz.
I know that it's possible to modify the FT-847 to transmit above 30 MHz, but I've seen reference to the low pass filter being a possible issue.
Does anyone have experience with this, and are there any gotyas?
