Thanks for your input. Yes that is the challenge for me. Being able to use the PTT function on the Data IN/OUT jack at the rig to pass the audio from pc to rig without damaging the radio circuitry. I am not sure of how to wire the transistor into the tip audio line and where to tie it to the board an work properly and not damage the radio. The cost of the Digi Easy is dirt cheap 847 $$$.
