The only other thing is RF getting back to the Radio, depending on your set up. This will shut your radio down, especially with something like FT8 & fm which is full duty cycle. It might be better if you do a drawing and show your set up what you are actually using and how are you doing it. You will know if it’s the internal battery, because if you change any settings you will lose them so you can rule this out if it doesn’t happen. ?
