I am very happy with my 847. Bought it 12 years ago through Ebay. I knew I wanted one after using the 847 that had been gifted to our club, the Niagara Peninsula Amateur Radio Club. What's better than a rig that does everything ? Can't figure out why Yaesu didn't spend another 25 cents and put in VOX. Wished the sub-VFO tuned faster when you need it. Like others here, I was unable to get the audio into the xmit packet output. With the recent discussion here, I should finally be able to get that working.
