开云体育The FT847 has the same 8 pin connections for other tuners. FC10, FC20, FC30 and others. This is important for band switching. I have all three tuners and tested them all and they all work well. ? ? Other tuners don’t have band switching or inhibit so effectively transmitting into a high SWR while the servos do their thing unless it’s a purely relay ATU (CG3000, SGC SG230 and some LDG tuners). When it comes to the FC20 the steppers initially tune variable capacitors and switch in inductance. ?The FC10 is similar but the FC30 is more relay based. I like to think the FC20 as hybrid.? ? When you switch bands with the FC20 you see “wait” come up on the LCD while the capacitors tune. Again FC10 but from memory the “wait” only appears for a few seconds of at all on the FC30. These tuners are generally aesthetically similar to the radio they are designed for eg: shape, size etc. ? I’m not sure about the FC40 as I never owned one but if it’s got a 8 pin tuner socket then I’m sure it would work. ? If you consider the FC10, FC20 and FC30 all tune on the SWR and all receive the tune start and stop sequence in cooperation with the radio. They inhibit the transmit. The only difference between the FT847 and FT897 is the label is “sense” and the other label is “Band C” meaning change. ? This is just my observations and the fact I’ve owned or own the equipment. ?
