Move Reflector ???

I'm guessing there might have been some discussion, but I can't find the thread so I'll ask.

Any thoughts of moving this reflector to the Groups.IO application?

Most of the groups I deal with have moved away from the Yahoo world as the ice seems to be getting thinner all the time.

I've tried to e-mail the owner of this reflector directly, but the e-mails were rejected by the Yahoo system. Another sign of it's problems.

are you talking about the group? or a reflector as in ham radio??

I must not have been clear ...

Any thoughts of moving this Yahoo Groups e-mail/message reflector to the Groups.io platform?

My opinion, and it may not count for much, but here it is.

?

Given the many problems with security and other problems with Yahoo (mail as well as its groups), many of the other ham radio related groups have moved to group.io.? From what I hear, it is a relative easy process.? I think we, as a group, should make this happen, if for nothing else, for the security of those who utilize this group as well as other groups.

Moving this list from Yahoo has no significant cost and also no tangible benefit to me.

?All discussion is automatically forwarded to my Gmail account so the Yahoo web interface is not a factor for me. I’ve suffered no inconvenience or threat or loss from Yahoo unreliability or insecurity.

What are the known or hoped-for benefits of a move?

I to have no problem with the Yahoo site.? The io seems to have more ads.? Staying with Yahoo would be my choice.

The [icom7100] group made the transition from Yahoo to ?in early March of this year and it was painless from my point of view. ?I have access to the messages sent before the move and current messages are received in the same manner as before. ?Yahoo’s security problems are common knowledge, therefore moving the group is an excellent recommendation. ?Personally I don’t trust Yahoo, Google or Facebook, so transferring the [FT60] group for security reasons makes perfect sense to me.

Here is what I found on "Why Transfer to ?":
