Moving this list from Yahoo has no significant cost and also no tangible benefit to me.

?All discussion is automatically forwarded to my Gmail account so the Yahoo web interface is not a factor for me. I¡¯ve suffered no inconvenience or threat or loss from Yahoo unreliability or insecurity.

What are the known or hoped-for benefits of a move?

Given the many problems with security and other problems with Yahoo (mail as well as its groups), many of the other ham radio related groups have moved to .? From what I hear, it is a relative easy process.? I think we, as a group, should make this happen, if for nothing else, for the security of those who utilize this group as well as other groups.
