Another trouble removing ft60 memory channel

New,2 day old ft60 owner.? Ive read about page,32 removing memory channel in memory. In trying to set up repeaters and simplex channels. I cant remove 12 mistake channels.
When i very lightly touch button hm/rv, display shows, Home In. But channel still remains.?
Sorry for asking a constant ft60 abnormality?
Thanks

You can overwrite the mistake memory channels or use software like CHIRP or FT-60 Commander found at www.kc8unj.com. ?Does require having a programming cable, can be found on EBay.?

Message sent from some electronic device that only the Manufacturer of said device really cares about.?

Hi Tom,

?

I tried it on my FT-60 and it worked as described. The only thing I would note is that I pressed the HM/RV key firmly. The display immediately switches to my channel 1 repeater name.

?

Note that in step 2 in the manual, after I hold the F/W key for one second, the display switches to the next “open” (blank) channel; I have to turn the dial back to select the channel I actually want to delete. For example, let’s say I want to delete channel 4. After I press and hold the F/W key, the display switches to the next “open” (blank) channel (29 in my case). I then scroll back until I get back to channel 4 and hit the HM/RV button firmly.

?

I’m not sure this adds anything, but best of luck.

What about a factory reset? If you have a lot of other stuff programmed it may not be worthwhile.

Use V/M to switch to memory mode.
Press and *hold* FW briefly.
Use the top dial to change to the channel you want to clear.
Press HM/RV.

Thanks for the replies and advice. I called yaesu and talked to rep named Tim. He repeated the page 32 delete steps on test bench ft60r. Course his? worked perfectly.? Lol? still when i hit hmrv key i see "home in"which he said is correct. BUT display won't go to ch1 home page. It shows a previous vfo freq i used.?
I did the reset . Ive also rewrote over some mistake channels.?
I'll be more careful inputting memories. Thanks again all.
