Press and hold the band key, rotate the knob to select no bank, then tap v/m. Thos shouldget you out of bank mode. Refer to manual page 33. Brian Amos

my screen keeps saying the having the "BANK" indicator on this seems to keep the functions from being easily changed any ideas?

After trying all sorts of things at Rob's suggestion, I shipped it back this morning. Either I have a defective interface box or cables, or a defective radio. We shall see... /paul W3FIS

Bought my cable from Bob G4HFQ. Worked fine with my VX-150 but had the same problem when I used it with my FT-60R. With Bob's help, we discovered the plug was not making full contact on the FT-60R

not sure about charge time on the car charger, but I do remember it shouldn't be left on it all the time as there's no over charge check done. I just charge over night on the wall wart and it's done.
