Hello Gcmateo How weak is the signal that you are trying to receive? Can you test your radio with a friend in an open field say far away from you that you can see him/her but not hear him/her at all

Correct. The audio frequency response of a repeater receiver typically will not pass a CTCSS tone through to the transmitter. That's why the repeaters that DO transmit tone have a dedicated encoder

I think the first thing I would look at is do I have the decode turned on. If you have repeater channels in memory and have the correct codes set up and are hearing them when stopped on that frequency
