Try using the alternate write method. Also, if Device Manager shows you have a Prolific cable, try rolling the driver back to 3.2.0.0. You can find this driver at Miklor.com.

Have been unable to finish connection via FT-60 Commander programming software.
I get to a window which says hold down PTT, in doing that I see "listening" on screen, but nothing else loads or occurs
