If the repeater does not require a tone then set it to NO TONE. If it is set to TONE it will send? what ever tone was selected? in the list. Sometimes repeater operators will set their machines to

To Off.? Best practice: the ft60 may have a default tone like other radios or it may generate noise or .... It is designed that when you have time on, you want a tone generated.? Andy

if there is NO tone required for a repeater- when programing that repeater do you set the tone to OFF or to tone and then NOT put in a tone code?
