开云体育Hey Jerry I would like to tell you that since the 4-way Yaesu plus seems to be it's "achilles heel" so to speak I would urge you to spend a bit more NOW and get an original product made to specifications, vs. spend a bit less now and get a non-conforming product that will truly ruin your experience. If the plug is even a tiny bit off, then you will have problems. Please don't make my mistake(s) notice the S there, yes by the time all was said and done I advocate that anything that plugs into that 4-way port on the FT-60R/E go genuine product and don't fall for any of "I have it for half price, or even less" crap. Are you working events? In a noisy environment? Or just want the convenience of a speaker-mic / headset?
When I worked a NASCAR event, I used a custom-molded earpiece for my left ear, and a 22db quieting earplug in my right. I was better protected from noise than the guys in the pits with those headsets ... There is nothing more comfortable than a custom-made ear mold ... Audiologists make them. Do you want single-ear coverage, or both ears? Heil has his new HTH lightweight HT headset: mini-boom mic, and single ear speaker. Model HTT-Y is the one for the Yaesu 3.5mm / 4-conductor jack on our FT-60R rigs. Comfortable unit. To cover both ears, Heil has answers for you, too.? SO - What do you want from a headset? Complete isolation to the point of not hearing the phone ring or people yell at you? (grin) Or a more sinple single-ear earpiece of some sort? Clint K6LCS |

BUT... It would be much easier to start with a question and then we can go from there. Exactly what are you trying to do? Then we can show you multiple ways of getting to what you want to get to. required any charging device above 5 volts to have an automatic shut-off, which the NC-88 wall-wart does not have. So, beginning with radios manufactured in early 2013, FT-60 batteries can no longer be charged via the radio's external power jack. All FT-60's made since then come with the drop-in desktop charger which does have automatic shut-off. The radio can still be powered from 12v through the external power jack. I sent the following questions to Yaesu tech support:
The NC-88B appears to both charge and power my FT-60R. I have bought 3 more of these radios recently and they are not charging using the EXT DC socket on the radios. Your leaflet here: () is confusing because it lists "AC adapter" s in the "Battery Chargers" section but they don't charge the newer models. Are these adapters suitable for continuous operation and as chargers? I have done some other research but get confusing and contradictory results with these questions in regard to both my radio first FT-60R and the newer ones: Is it safe to power the radio continuously, 24/7 using the EXT DC socket and if so, what accessories are safe for that? Or do I need to buy battery eliminators? And received the following answer: You can use all of the new FT-60 devices on you 2011 radio, but your new radios cannot charge directly from the wall to the radio. |

No it does not.
The battery contains it's own charger circuit so removing the 'guts' of the drop in charger and wiring the
wallwart directly to the salient contacts would work.
Make sure to label the charger for only a LiPo battery, as dropping in a NiMh battery
by accident would/could make for some interesting pyrotechnics effects!
