Hi Jim, The "Alternate Write Mode" is just a workaround for some configurations. On some PCs, for some reason the FT-60 won't accept data when writing unless data has been sent out of the radio first.

No, I don't think so. You can not discuss business dealings on your ham radio (say if your stock broker was a ham, you could not "make a trade" over the air) or use HAM RADIO for business purposes.
