Hello,
?
Yes Yaesu is aware of this problem and refuses to admit it. There are way to many early FT-60's out there with the same receive problem! Not just my radio!
?
There report to me was that there is no problem with the receive!
I do have to admit their engineer did take the time to listen to my receive problems!
?
Larry
?
?

I would send this report directly to Yaesu if I were you.

And this is what you could not post on the other reflector?

Hi all.
I tried to post the following bug report with Clint's group, but he
would not allow it.

I found a bug in the radio's operating system software that Yaseu will
want to fix (hopefully).

It is easy to duplicate, and the error handling is not providing for
this, and doing it causes the radio to shut down. Simply set all of
the channels in one of the memory banks to skip, and then press either
the up or down MHz keys to initiate scanning of that bank, and the
unit will shut down.

Yes I know that the question is going to be asked "Why would you want
to scan, when you have set all of the channels to skip?"... well it
happened by accident, and the error should be trapped. The user should
not be left wondering why the unit powered off.

You can duplicate this in any of the memory banks or in the "No
Bank" memory mode. The solution would be to display a message to the
user, or just beep.

I really like my radio, and I'm not complaining, just passing this
along for our collective knowledge, and maybe... just maybe it can be
corrected for future releases.
My unit's serial number 4K 05 0655

BTW I have a VX2R and when I try to duplicate the error on it, a
message is displayed "MS Error"
