In the manual on P40 it describes a feature called Programmable Band Limit Memory Scan (PMS).

HI- Guess I'll have to answer this my self- Battery shows 8.2 off the
charger and 7.4 after trying to tx- So,got the volt meter out and while
checkinng on ht back ports,drops to 2.2 volts.
