As far as I know, yes. It's the charger that came with the radio new and has been working just fine since I bought the radio back in January. The old technology-new battery issue might be related to charger vs battery chemistry. That may be why the new battery didn't fully charge through the old radio using the DC charger cable that came with the radio. As I've said, a new drop charger may solve the problem, as the local elmer suggested. Thank St Pixel of the Sacred Binary for Prime one-day shipping! I'll have all of my new components tomorrow.
Now just to get the HT back together. Other than seating those weird nuts around their respective buttons properly, it shouldn't be too hard. And getting the battery holder clip properly seated. I'm sure YouTube can help.
