My original pack also had 1 bad cell in it.? Maybe 2.? I took them all out and disposed of the bad cells.? Of the remaining cells, I pulled the tabs off the (-) terminals, folded the tab back and forth on the (+) terminals and applied a blob of solder there to form something resembling a button.? These are now in domestic service for various toys, holiday lights, etc.? Then I put 2 Li-ion flat cells into the original case (details posted in this forum).? The pack is now lighter than before and has more capacity.
