Hate to resurrect a 5 year old thread here. But I had an issue with my FT-60 and tried again and again to delete the memories.
It was a singular duplicated memory and didn't want to bring up the chirp, the clone from the radio, fix it then re-image the radio.
This thread was at the top of "ft-60r can't delete memory" and gave it a try but it didn't work, no matter how "slightly" and "momentarily" touched the HM/RV button.
Then I realized I was in BANK mode. I long pressed BANK, then turned to NO BANK, then a quick V/M press. After that I could delete memories without issues and didn't have to worry about how "slightly' to touch the HM/VR.
