If I’m not mistaken, rechargeable AA’s are slightly larger than alkaline AA’s and only put out 1.2 bolts as opposed to 1.5 volts.?

Another question: right now I have the FBA-25A battery case in the radio. The case is frighteningly tight and quite difficult to "force" into the radio with batteries installed. (It's even quite tight when empty.) With some batteries, it wouldn't fit into the radio at all.
Has anyone else had this problem?
I've seen mentioned the FBA-25. One seems to have replaced the other, but is there a difference?
