Yep, I trimmed the plug also. Had it pop out during an event and got a call from one of my friends telling me that I was transmitting. Now I use rubber bands to hold it in. I know the receive on this radio is better than the Baofeng radios. Was at an event using the Baofeng and a guy near me had the FT60 and was hearing things I didn't hear. Got out the FT-60 and the receive came alive. K3CLT Chuck Tobias

Chuck Mine was a major nuisance, so much so I tossed?the microphone in a drawer. When time was available an inspection of a new non molded male connector did not exhibit the pop out problem. Cutting away the insulation which butts against the radio on the connector solved my problem. ?Frankly given the widespread problem and duration it was surprising it had gone on so long. As far as I know the overmolding on the connector is still in production.? Chuck You don’t realize it at the time, but when you say, “Till death do us part”, you are setting a goal.?
