I cannot make a recommendation as to batteries as 6 or 7 years in my factory battery still does all I need

?No it's not free but it works
You usually have to buy the cable so just go ahead and get the the software
I bought a heil ht headset and love it.
Lot cheaper than you'd expect for a heil product?
IIRC when I bought mine it was actually cheaper than the yaesu solution?
